orgasm and urinating

I'm female, and whenever I start getting close to orgasm, I wee myself ALOT! I always go to the toilet first and make sure there is nothing left to come out, but when I start getting those contractions, I wee myself anyway. (And I am sure it's wee, not vaginal fluid.)

Is this normal? What can I do about it?

Not that uncommon. Check out kegal(sp) exercises that'll strengthen the muscles in that area(basically the pelvic floor muscles). That may help and it usually increases the orgasmic feelings as a nice bonus. It certainly does in men anyway.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

You do know that some girls squirt when they climax, right? It could be completely normal, and unrelated to 'wee'.

    Female ejaculation.

it can be quite amazing to see it when it happens.

OP if you go to your Gp to get yourself checked to make sure there is nothing physical.
    Then excercises can help.
But do not exlude the possibility that you are one of these women who does ejaculate.

Are you 100% sure it's urine?
It's known that some girls discharge a liquid when they orgasm but it's not entirely urine. It's nothing to be embarrassed about and in fact will boost his ego to see that you're enjoying yourself :D

There are two camps on this subject. And like many things, people choose to believe what makes them feel better about themselves, regardless of evidence or not.

    1. The porno, about.com, holisticwisdom.com, type of web sites authorities

    2. The neurobiology stance (which is my opinion)

Despite the testimonies otherwise, female ejaculation is nothing more than urination.

There is no other organ besides the bladder present in the female to produce a large volume of fluid at the time of orgasm. The urethral opening is very close to the vaginal opening, and can be stimulated during intercourse, so someone who is not too familiar with their own anatomy (this is surprisingly frequent) might believe the fluid was emitted vaginally. The bladder is also very close to the reproductive tract and is also frequently stimulated during intercourse.

All this together, along with the muscle contractions of a particularly intense orgasm (which includes contraction of abdominal muscles, not just vaginal muscles) can lead to an episode of incontinence. It's understandable someone would be reluctant to want to accept they have urinated during intercourse, so prefer to perpetuate the myth of female ejaculation. Unlike men, there is no sphincter in females that closes to prevent urination during climax.

It's still nothing to be embarrassed about, just nothing to shout about either.

I do not have a urethral opening in my vagina.

If you want that type of 'debate' take it to biology and medicine nipplenuts.

I thought it was well known that female ejaculate is from Skene's gland?

Having been on both ends of the operation OP, I can confirm it feels just like weeing yourself. How are you sure it is urine that is coming out? It comes from the urethra but that's because those glands drain into the urethra.

Anyway, it's all good - enjoy.

I felt i had to respond to nipplenuts assertation that female ejaculation is a holistic or porn type fantasy. (i will throw both my biology degrees away then lol). If you want to atrt a thread nipplenuts in a more appropriate forum, we can argue for and against

Here is a wkiki link: unfortunately the podcasts i have are not work safe.

Back on topic: Question OP, when this happens, is it g-spot stimulation as thats the most common way? though any way can cause release.

I've heard that about Skene's gland too, but there seems to be feck all medical literature\research on it. It's amazing how little knowledge there is - it was only about there years ago that they discovered that the clitoris actually extends far back and is wrapped around the vagina internally.

OP - it's perfectly normal and nothing to be worried about. Let's just say a very close 'friend' of mine has been with three 'squirters' in his lifetime. Two were happy to be wired like that, but the third girl was quite paranoid about it and really let it affect her sex life.

Lots of women squirt and it's nothing to be worried/ashamed/upset about, most guys actually like it to be honest. More than likely it's not urine.

The way you describe it certainly sounds like you 'squirt', as you say, you empty your bladder first.
There are quite a few women who can manage to do it, and take it from me there is nothing to be ashamed of, and you will find that most men do like it.

    Here's a link:

Quite a long read with drawings and a couple of photos, explaining it all :)

Most females eaculate to some degree, the fact that you are aware of this, may only relate to the volume you expel. Ejaculate does contain some urea, but quite low levels. If it smells strongly like urine, you may have an issue.

Marksie, I am just offering a view, as are you. Now to be fair, quoting wikipedia is hardly appropriate, now is it? What makes your assertion any more valuable than any one elses?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,045 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

There is a difference between a view and personal physical experience.

That's rather deceptive phrasing, given that there is certainly not a conclusion either way in the scientific community on this.

Doesn't taste like urine for starters.

This is not to say that the OP definitely doesn't suffer from incontinence at the time of orgasm, especially if she suffers from stress incontinence at other times.

As i said i couldn't get the podcast on here. But its in the S+s forum.

My view was not necessarily more important than anyone elses, the wiki link provided some scientific references (though limited) to back up what i was saying. Rather than accepting a spurious "neurobiological standpoint" without backup and stating that beliveing that female ejaculation occurred was a result of a porn/holistic view.

As Thaed said practical experience with g-spot massage techniques, clitoral techniques, and both together. As talliesin said they taste different and the consistency is different.

Could i suggest though that we move the discussion to S+S on this topic though nipplenuts or PM and we can discuss?

OP: if it isn't incontinence issues, whihc is why i suggested you go to the docs, then you are able to ejaculate. Don't worry about it and enjoy.

I have the squirt as well, but I also wee. Trust me, I smelt it and I felt where it came from. It is definitely urine!
