Wait until one of the supermarkets do a 25/30% Tesco/Dunnes rebate on Wines/Champagnes again.

I was looking for champagne last christmas and read 2 reviews in the Irish Indo and another national paper (cant recall which one). Tesco own brand champagne came out tops in both for taste, value etc. Think it was Blanc de Noirs Champagne. Worked great, loved by all! review here

They also do a really good cava for about 7-8 euro.
