Viva Pinata coming to DS

Title pretty much says it all, Viva Pinata is coming to the DS

It's the original game, not the mini games (party animals), top down view. Hopefully it'll sell more this time, like it deserves to.

It's developed by Rare, who are owned by Microsoft but still develop for the DS. Since Microsoft haven't dipped their toe into the handheld market, the DS isn't seen as a competitor.

The 360 game that wanted to be a nintendo game gets ported to a nintendo console.

Makes sense, i mean the 360 was hardly the target market for something like this.

Rare havn't done too badly with their DS titles as far as i know.

It's a top-down point and click with a bunch of minigames and a keen line in swapping stuff with other players, isn't it? Sounds perfectly suited to the DS to me. What makes you say it's not a "DS type of game"?

It's a game made to suit the DS perfectly. My only complaint about the original is I don't get to play it enough since it's on 360. It's a game very like Harvest Moon. I have Harvest Moon on both the GC and GBA. I have devoted hours into the GBA game but hardly touched the GC one despite both being equally good.

Next time try to give some points to support your argument. Saying 'well for starters everything' makes you look stupid and childish.

Now there is an ignorant statement if ever there was one. Just because the game has cute graphics doesn't mean it's just for kids. Anyone can enjoy a game like Viva Pinata. In fact some mature rated games like GTA and mortal kombat are a lot more childish than Viva Pinata (though I wouldn't let a kid play them).

Actually have you ever played the game? It's actually a very complex game with a lot of resource management and a lot of big decisions to make to do any way well. I don't see how a young kid could grasp most of what is going on.

Retr0, I think it is similar to Harvest Moon, but more like say Theme Hospital/Park, it is more of a sim than Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing are. Who knows, the DS version could draw more people to the original version. It didn't sell badly (few hundred thousand copies anyway), it just didn't do as well as it should have. It'll be interesting to see how the Party Animals game does now the world seems obsessed with mini-games

I think people would like to know why you consider the game too easy, and why you think it'd be unsuited to the DS, the graphical differences aside, because when you port a 360 game to the DS it's pointless to compare graphics.

We're just trying to understand how you could see a game thats trying it's damnedest to be a nintendo game wouldn't be at home on a DS.

Its to easy because i done everything in less than 3 days and i only played it for about 2 hours a day.I think they should just stick to the xbox

There's a huge amount of pinata's to get, it would take months to get them all. I severely doubt you did everything in 3 days.

Because I've played it. I sunk maybe 10 +hours into that game for the first 2 days I had it and didn't make a dent into it. You say you beat the game after only 6 hours while reports from every source I can find say there is at least 40+ hours of gameplay in there until you can get everything (and even that is pushing it for an expert or a walkthrough user). Stop your waffles when you clearly don't know what you are talking about.
