Looking for a decent (and not too expensive) Micro Hi-Fi system.
    around 100-150 euro.

Require a cd player, Aux input, and some decent speakers.

Also small and reliable. (micro not mini)

    Any ideas? :)

Have you considered decent mini speakers and an mp3 player? I got great speakers for €65 delivered, intended for my mp3 player. You can get a cheap bulky mp3 player with decent harddisk size and just leave it there with the speakers. Bulky mp3 players are pretty cheap and if it is not being carried around the size doesnt really matter.

    These are the speakers

seem to have gone down further, and the weak dollar means they might be only €50

Have a browse on pixmania.com, they have a decent selection and are priced reasonably.

Pixmania looks decent alrite, dont want to get something so cheap as to raise suspicion( like the 30 euro one!! ). I'm guessing the higher the wattage of the speakers means the better? Was lookin in argos catalogue and all seem to have very weak speakers.

ruprect, the speakers would be fine if it was for me but im getting it for someone who wants a CD player and remote control, so the micro system seems the best bet.

I usually look for what is on offer, then search for reviews. On those speakers I did the opposite, looked for reviews first. Wattage does not equate to quality. Just like high megapixels does not mean a good camera. It is a easy figure to quote so is used in marketing.

If I saw a 2 sony cameras both at €300, one 8MP and the other 5MP, then I would go for the 5MP camera, my reasoning being if it is the same company it probably has a better lens or some other benefit, and 5MP is more than I will ever need.

Many portable speakers have higher watt than those I posted, I have heard ones from argos & tesco at around the same price and they dont compare at all.

There is a little sharp hifi in dunnes at the moment on offer. Not sure how good it is. Its got a usb and sd slot for mp3s. 100euro I believe. :)

Not sure about the micro/mini thing.
