New Band Starting Out In Dublin

    I'm a Song-writer looking to start up a new band in Dublin. I'm living in dublin for the past 8 months. I'm a 23 year old orphan originally from Tipperary. I've been writing songs since i was 15 when i first started playing the guitar. I have experienced alot in my life so far most of which have added to my musical abilities. I thought myself how to play the guitar and i suppose every other instrument i picked up along the way.


    I'm seeking the best available musicians:Male/Female electro-pianoist with good knowledge of music theory and can play by ear. Acoustic guitarist with some talent for song writing even if its just chord based. Lead guitarist who basically knows the fret board inside-out and can also add to original material. A solid strong-minded bass player who can also play the guitar (some ex in lead guitar) and again, add to original material. A good drummer with some experience in off beat drumming and can play the guitar. The weirder and more depressed the musicians are the better!!! At least you'll have something on your mind to write about...Emphasis is everything. Will be doing all original material and maybe covers in practice for a mess about. It's not about what you can play, it's about what you/we can write and how its played. Ok I don't mean all of that literally...just trying to turn some heads.

    My influences are The Beatles, U2, REM, Hendrix, The Frames, Oasis, Coldplay, Keane, Led Zep, The Doors, Goo Goo Dolls, The Counting Crowes, Keane, Muse, Train, Snow Patrol, Pearl Jam, The Killers,Nirvana, Green Day, Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy, Thunder, Eric clapton, Creed, Feeder, Lifehouse, Damien Rice, Embrace, Razorlight, Metallica, AC/DC, Bellx1, Sound Garden and everyone else......

    I've nearly 30 original songs written, two can be heard by clicking on the folllowing link, lyrics are also found there or open the attachment. Have a listen!! I recorded them in a tiny room about 8 ft sq so they sound terrible as i had to use unnecessary effects on the....All my other songs are a lot better just that i need a band to play the rest as they are a liittle bit more difficult. alot more instrumental......
