    Hi
I have a small PA amplifier in the garage which I've always just run through a single 8 Ohm speaker, as it only has a single line output. I've obtained a second speaker and plan to daisy chain it from the first one. Both speakers are 8 ohm, so am I correct in assuming that by linking them, they effectively become 4 Ohms?

Also, the amplifier while having only a single output does have the option of 6, 8 or 16 Ohms. Should I set the output to 4 Ohms if I daisy chain the speakers?

Yes they will become 4 ohms when daisy chained

.....................I would think when both speakers are connected 4 ohms should be selected...........................Im probably wrong. I find the whole ohms thing very confusing!
