Updating console for those without broadband?

Was wondering as to how I should go about doing this. Have broadband access at work so can I bring in my iaudio, download any updates, then bring it home and hook it up with the PS3? Also, what other things can I download - any videos/demos/etc...like Gran Turismo for example?

    Thanks in advance lads,

    AB.

The PS3 probably wont play any videos that you can download off the net. It only plays MP4'S and will refuse to play quicktime etc. If you know someoone who has a PS3 get them to download videos from the PS store and copy them to a memory stick for you.
    Otherwise get broadband at home.

you can just get new games to update the ps3. rent transformers or the darkness to get version 1.8, and whatever's next will have 1.9.

you can download videos and stuff all you want from normal sites, convert them to a format the ps3 likes and away you go. demo's are a little more difficult. chances are you'll have to buy ps3 magazines with demos (the official one now does blu-ray demo discs) as i doubt the code is freely available on torrent sites or whatever

You can get the latest Firmware from Sony themselves,

    Check the official PS3 site.

You can burn it to disc or throw it on a memory stick then and update that way

Actually if you have high res quicktime clips, and quicktime pro you can often export the clip into a ps3 readable file. It just fixes some headers and only takes a few secs.

Cheers for the replies. Will the usb cable that came with the iaudio suffice?

    Any USB should do.
