    Hi All,

I posted this in the motors section, but it was mentioned that the classic section might get a few more replies.

It's to do with getting a car collected in the uk (not a classic)
You guys might have more experience of it?

    Cheers

Thanks to all who recommended John Flynn. He collected my car without any problems. I can't recommend him highly enough, fantastic service he provides. €400 for collection. I gave him the details on Monday and he had my car back in his yard yesterday!

    Cheers.....

€400 sounds very cheap... does that include all his outlays like the ferry and fuel etc?

The ferry is the bones of €200 alone...

€400 all in from anywhere in the Uk (within reason ) to Carlow....great service and cheaper than you could do it yourself...

As corktina said, €400 from most parts, the far south of england and northern scotland would be a bit more. But for the service provided, it's well worth it.

point of warning though...a lot of the cars he transports are damaged so if your car is a minter, try to make sure he puts it on top so that brake fluid and stuff doesnt leak on to your paint.....he's a law unto himself and i dont think youd get far sueing him....

Does he deliver to your door or do you have to pick up from the depot? I'm looking at bringing a car back but it has no bumper or RH guard and wouldn't be keen driving it!

Price is to his yard in Carlow.....depends where you are whether he can bring it further....give him a ring....he's friendly enough....

    Great thanks for that.

Just for your information if anyone is interested, John will bring a car over from nearly anywhere to his base in Carlow for 400 euro and it was an extra 100 euro for him to deliver to my door in Limerick. Nice guy.
