Midlands Music Festival

    Anybody here at the Midlands festival? I just went on the Saturday. I enjoyed the day but it just rained all day long.

    Highlights were Ricky Scaggs, Aimee Mann (though I did not see a lot of her), Steve Earle, The Waterboys and Mundy.

    Thingsgot pretty hairy in the fields outside with the muck and cars getting stuck, we were lucky to get out pretty quickly.

    Overall, I thought it was a well organised event considering the weather conditions. Great stuff for the children.

    I went along on Sunday and really enjoyed it. The weather was lovely and inluded a strong line-up. Managed to get back to Dublin in under 90 mins but did leave 1/2 through Glen Campbell.
    Great fun and a great vibe. Totally recommend it for 2008.

    Anyone spot the Kris Kristofferson look-a-like in the crowd? Was it him?

    Was there on sat, Richard Thompson was oustanding, steve earle was great, what I saw of the waterboys was good. Christy got them all singing. Rain was awful for a few hours which lead to mud and more mess
    Would go back again. Nice relaxed atmosphere, very child friendly.
