    Hi,
Thinking of going to Disneyland Paris for a few days with my girlfriend in october. Does anyone have any advice about when to go (ie. mid week or weekend) and where to stay, how many days would we need there, which airport is best to fly to/from?

    Thanks

I'd recommend midweek as weekends are very busy. The first time we went was 7th - 11th December. It was cold but no queues weekdays except 5 mins for Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan. However 90 min queues for most rides on the Saturday. Leave the shows for the Saturday.

The second time we went was sometime in mid-May. It was busier but not like peak times. Weather was lovely.

If you don't have children then avoid the last week in October as some parents may take their children out of school just before the Halloween Break.

Both times we stayed in The Holiday Inn which is one of Disney's selected hotel. It's 5 - 10 minutes on the free shuttle bus to the bus/train station in front of the park entrance. We paid €92 per night (approx) per room and it included buffet breakfast for 4 of us. The 4 selected hotels are The Holiday Inn, Explorer's, Movenpick and The Kyriad, they are newer than the 6 original Disney Hotels.

We flew with Aer Lingus to CDG on both occasions, 1st time from Cork, 2nd time from Dublin. They were the cheapest airline. Second time we got the flights for €6 per person each way and including taxes it cost €249 for the 4 of us.

You can get a Disney coach from CDG to Disney. It stops at the 6 main hotels and certain times it takes you direct to the 4 selected hotels. If it doesn't it drops you at the bus station by the entrance to the park and you just get the free shuttle from there. It's very straightforward, easier than I'm explaining. You can catch a train from CDG as well

The first time we went we spent 3 days in the parks, 2nd time 2 days and 1 day in Paris. If you think you'll go back within a year you can get an annual pass and there are various passes. We went for the one that excluded 30 specific days mainly french bank holidays. It cost us €129 each at the time

I'd stay in Paris and get the RER out to Disneyland. Best airport is CDG.

I went in July last year with family, stayed in Dream Castle (Movenpick) 4 star and would highly recommend it - can be booked through www.activehotels.com

October last year (with a large group) - queues were grand - was before the mid term

went this June - weekends very busy but the weekdays were grand - stayed at the Kyriad and was apprehensive before we went because of its 2 star rating but was delighted with it and have no complaints at all - excellent price

Will be going again this Oct with large group and will go an a weekday and it iwll be before mid term - expect queues to be manageable and well experienced now to get fastpass tickets etc:D

Have driven there - great fun:D

Have flown there - ryanair to Beauvais - car hire with Hertz - one way - and booked through ryanair site for best price:D

Generally understood that aerlingus to Charles do Gaulle is handiest and coach connection to hotel and I would recommend the Dream Castle hotel

YOu can get a train into Paris for the day from Chessy stn (beside Disney)

    Enjoy:)
