Will be Dublin for the next few weeks. Don’t know the place that well. So I’m looking for some good places to wander around after 6 in the evening to take some shots.
I was on a bus going to ballsbridge last weekend and noticed the coast line so I might take a trip out there and see whats about.

I’ll be staying in the city centre.

So where do you’s recommend, time permitting

    Thanks

Welll it all depends what your interesting in doing and when you are in town ... Dun Laoghaire pier is nice on a sunny day ... The North Pier is less busy than the South ... and probably better for snapping ...

Out the same direction you have Dalkey and just beyond it there is Dalkey Head, Sorrento Terrace and the Vico Road.

In the city St Stephens Green ... and the other nearby squares - Merrion and Fitzwilliam ... For people watching the areas around Grafton St such at Georges Arcade.... and there are the grounds of Trinity College ...

The walks on the Liffy banks near the ha'penny bridge are nice too ...

Further along the Liffey near Cornmarket / Thomas St the are two wonderful cathedrals Sy Pats and Cristchurch ... and just beyond Cristchurch is the remnants of the old City Walls ... then there is the grounds of NCAD on Thomas St which is a former Powers distillery ... on the other side of the Liffey you have the Four Courts and behind them Smithfield where you can get great views from the tower ...

There is the Phoenix Park ... and nearby the War Memorial Park on the Liffey

Howth is a nice fishing village if you have time ..

... or there is Dollymount Strand ...

Kilmainham Gaol is really interesting place even for photography. GArdens of rememberance (if the name is correct) is really worth of visit and it is close to O'Connel Street. And don't forget Doclands, both the quays and expecially the left one are also interesting with nice views.
Dart trip along the coast is also nice thing to do.

In these here parts we call them the East and West piers (not the North and South!). If you are going in that direction go at/near dusk. Terrific shots with good light. Rather than confine yourself to the piers go to the departure area for the Stena HSS. Just to the left of that is the Marina. Go onto the walkway and shoot for all you're worth. When The HSS is docking you can almost get underneath it! Good luck..

    Ohh

Made a trip out last night at about 8.30. Walked on the South side of the pier and got some lovely shots as the sun set was in progress.
Wont get to check them until friday, but it looks like i got a few keepers. I'll post them up on friday for a C&C.
    Thanks for the location tips.

How good is this weather at the moment. :D Might go in town tonight. I hope the battery just last now.

Ok guys, heres a few shots from the past week. Turns out I’m not as happy as I thought I would be with the results but here they are. Some more on my flickr btw. If you have the time drop a c&c comment, so I can figure out what’s not working in general. Thanks.
