does anyone know the 1s im talkina about?the steps going from the canteen to the concourse have to be the worlds most awkward and annoying steps in the world!whos with me?

There is a third way to the canteen. Go via the side entrance close to the Arts Millennium Building. There's about ten steps, and shouldn't be too dangerous. Except when they get p'd off.


As for most awkward and annoying, there's a flight of stairs in the church near me that are cast iron and over 170 years old. Now they're dangerous!

Let's see, you can go downstairs from outside the Concourse, down from the Library's front entrance, the hallway at the back of the library, the side entrance near the Arts Millennium Building. That's four different doors by my count.

Don't worry about it, though. It's easy to see the Bialann building from the Arts Millennium Building, the Library and the Concourse. You'll have no trouble getting to it.


And if by some chance you manage to miss it, you can also get food from the canteen in the Cairnes building near Corrib Village, or in the College Bar.

For first years, don't eat in there. The bialann has horrible food. Hop into town or go to the student bar. Also moffits is the lecturers restaurant but I eat there anyway, nice food so there was.

Also, the steps are fine, use the rail if you feel threatened.

friars in the commerce building are good for campbell-less food.

The canteen is such a god damn rip off. I eat in GMIT more then I do in NUIG....where the food costs about half the price and is just as good. Of course we all know that GMIT itself is a joke...but food wise....:D

I found somewhere today that actually does annoy me - the metal steps at the end of the main building on the concourse. Not so much the steps as those stupid, narrow, heavy metal doors. :mad:

Thos doors are ****ing terrible. Luckily I only really used them in first year.

I've never eaten much in the canteen but I've eaten breakfast there a fair few times. It suited me fine with sausages and beans for a pittance.
