Really enjoyed this on my recent excursion in Madrid.. a very light and somewhat cloudy beer, but very refreshing. The closest thing i could compare it to would be a Corrs Light (but superior to it i'd say).

The only disappointing thing was i typically try the local beer the first day i'm over there in a restaurant / bar but the first day there, i went to a Chinese restaurant and all they had was Heineken or Chinese Beer so alternated between the two in most places i was for the week.

I only tried Mahou in a quaint Italian restaurant my last night there. I presume it's available over here though.

Yep, neither of my local Dunnes or Tesco had it anyways!

Tee hee. My sister was just over in Spain, so she has returned with a Mahou for me :)

The finest beer I've had in Spain (although there is a super-cheapo, Alhambra, that is equally refreshing, and easy to drink), that is.

I've never seen it here - I'd remember if I had! I'm going down the West this weekend, though, and hopefully I'll find a decent beer offie, so I'll keep me eyes peeled.
