I've followed the instructions there but havent gotten any where.

I have my laptop set up wirelessly.

The xbox 360 is plugged into the wireless router.

I go through the steps but the laptop cant find the xbox 360. Any ideas?

Go to the network settings on your laptop and turn on all sharing options. Also in media player turn on media sharing, it should be available in one of the tabs along the top of the player.

It could be a firewall issue. Try disabling vistas firewall and/ or if you are using another firewall. After that im out of ideas.
