Just wondering if anyone has even used or heard of www.travonline.com?

They are a German hotel booking site based in the UAE and they carry top hotels in the Middle East and Asia! My haste lies in that they're prices are very good! Atleast €500 cheaper than their rival which leads me to wonder, are they too good to be true???

If anyone has any information or even a look at the site for me, it would be most appreciated!

    Thanks!

PS I know, some people still haste over purchasing items over the internet!

Had a quick look at them based on hotels I've stayed in before. They're advertising prices but can't confirm them on the spot and you can't book on the spot.

Looks like a lot of crap to go through and you probably won't get the advertised prices. There are dozens of sites where you can book instantly so I can't see why you'd bother with these.

Agreed. The old adage applies..generally if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

They may very well be ok, but something about it doesn't fill me with confidence

I have tried them and i got the advertised Rates from them. Service was excellent. Got the same day the Voucher, called the Hotel to verify and everything was fine. Will use them def. again when i am travelling to Dubai

    Buffy Bot,

Was checking the site again.... TravOnline is now insured against Insolvency by the Gerling Concern. I think that sounds better. Trust or non trust, i leave it up to you....

Meanwhile i was using them again for Malaysia and India. Excellent !!

I only can say: Expedia which is a Travel Agency is doing 24 Mio USD loss in 2008 is trustable? Dont think so

    Joe
