I'd almost always fold here, 2 shows of strength ahead of us means our TT is very rarely in good shape.

it was only a min raise! you could almost call for set value alone, i think it's a really bad fold.

its a pretty awkward spot i think but folding seems really weak.
i think i call and hope to see a flop and re-evaluate

defo agree with phantom - min raise doesn't show any strength at all - bad fold...

It was slightly more than a min raise (under most online site rules he could have raised 150), but not enough to quibble I suppose.
We're not guaranteed to close the action, and we don't really have the implied odds to set hunt either unless we can stack them both.

Its not a cash game and I havn't seen the the cashgame craze for 3betting light in STTs yet.

One of the things I have implanted on my brain from HOH1 is that as a rule of thumb you need QQ+ to get involved when there is a raise and a reraise before you. (Though I accept a lot of the HOH stuff is regarded as passe now).

Pity that the OP posted the result by the way as I think you will rarely be in this good shape with this action before you.

I think it's very funny that some people on this forum say a min raise means AA and others like in this thread say min raise is fairly weak. The fact is this: to a raise and reraise 1010 is not good enough in this spot to be profitable. The truth is you have to think back to how gonzo played KK preflop.

Against 2 random players with no reads folding 10 10 to a raise and a reraise is the correct play.

However in saying all that I never fold 10 10 upwards when down to 6 in a sit and go without a very specific read.

Additionally I would never put 1/9 of my stack in hoping to hit a set as if you hit you need to get every chip from gonzo to make it a break even play.

Even if you think he has an over pair you're getting the right odds to call for set value.

the probability of flopping a set is 11.74% -

As I said if you flop a set and his big pair is still an overpair and he doesn't flop/turn/river a set get every chip, then you are getting the right price to call for set value

thanks for the advice guys, i agree that i should have called, i had a big enough stack to be able to afford the 400 hit if there was a shove from those behind me. as it turned out i ended up winning this sng, and it was because i got all gonzo's chips. its a part of my game that i have to work on, i have shown the same weakness in these spots before and thats why i posted the thread, i had a feeling i was wrong to fold, regardless of the result.
