Anybody recommend a good budget guitar amp around a 100W. I was interested in the Hughes and Kettner Matrix 100 but seems like its discontinued.

Slightly over budget but a great amp afaik. What sort of music do you play? Need details like that ;)

What music do you play? Are you sure you need 100w?That's really loud and you wont be able to turn it up much. What about a valve amp?

nice looking machine but a bit overkill - nice price for a valve though! I play the usual "bit of everything" actually I had an old marshall valvestate that had to be retired, had a clean crunch and lead 3 channel affair that was pretty nice something like that except... cheaper i suppose

Haha I can honestly say in my ignorance I have never heard of a "Bugera", thats one fine looking kit!

These are surprisingly nice amps. Step or 2 above the Spider series.

Ah, its just a joke. They havent started shipping yet, so its anyones guess as to whether they're good or not. And price could go up or down....plus it's probably massively overkill for what you're looking for..but still, have to include it for the name alone :D

Have that amp actually(Line 6 Flextone III)! I like the idea of modelling amps but I just can't get comfortable with them, they're great in a studio situation - big palette of sounds etc but I don't think they cut it live at all. I particularly found it very difficult matching volumes effectively on your different saved presets.

i just put a valveking up on adverts, sounds like it would suit your needs, im going for something a bit more specific.

Nah, you see they're made by Behringer, so they're probably of similar quality. I've always thought that they were very decent for the price, so I'd love to check out them out.

    Not sounding too bad here:
