Start Up Company

This is a mix between computer equipment and accounts so I've posted it here.

I have just set up a new startup company and I'm looking for computer equipment and an accounting system. So far I've only been able to find one deal thats specific for startup companies ( www.bmssoftware.ie/promotions2.htm ) . I did a bit of research on the accounting system and it seems to have everything i need Debtors, Creditors, Stock Control and Nominal.

To me this seems like a good deal for a laptop, printer, antivirus software, full accounting system and Payroll system. Am I missing something?

Does anyone know any other companies that do similar offers?

Why do you think you need a system specific for start ups? Is it because it's cheap? Basic?

Most if not all of the off-the-shelf software companies have a package that will suit a start up company.

I've not clicked on the link, but if it's the case one company is selling a PC with accountancy/payroll software then fine. Personally I'd stick to companies that specialise in each. I think it's strange - maybe it's fine, but if you're a beginner in both software & hardware be careful.

no matter how small or large is your startup company, talk to your accountant. a good accountant will be able to understand and help you with designing and implementing business process and internal control. after all, each business is unique to its own. be it 200 euro or 20,000 euro system, at the end of the day if it doesn't work as it should be, no point having it in place.

Thanks guys. Link is work ok for me!

I've looked into it more and it seems to be a standard accounting system with everything you'd expect, but the bundle itself is specific for startups. I talked to an accountant who I use at times and they said it looks like a good deal.

Thanks Mart Max for comments..very true. The company is going to be a standard wholesale company so its not going to be very complicated.
