    Howdy,

We're a 9/10 piece funk band, playing gigs and writing tunes. However our bass player is fleeing the country soon and we need someone to take his place.

Were looking for someone who can play fairly well, it is funk at the end of the day. Into their slap bass too would be good. Ideally someone that is big into funk music and listens to it a lot would be great.

We're based in dublin, practice 2/3 times a week, sometimes more. We're gonna need someone to join around mid september, but if possible to have a few jams before then so we can hit the ground running.

male or female, age 20-35, doesnt really matter once you can get funky

    Hey guys,

Cheers for the replies. Yeah we do a few covers but we're writing our own stuff too. Im not too sure how to describe what we sound like, maybe a mixture of the JB's and the Meters but a bit faster.

    Some covers weve done are
    funky miracle - The Meters,
Standing on the verge of gettting it on - Funkadelic
Pushin to the top - Marcus kelly and the impassions
In 3's - the Beastie Boys

Hope that helps. Were gonna get some rough recording of our tunes done this week, so when thats done ill post a link to them.

Its just some tracks done in a rehearsal room. Bear in mind they havent been mixed or anything and in the future we will choose between different takes etc to get the stuff sounding good.

I would be well up for this. I play mostly funk and use a lot of techniques to create very percussive rhythms. I love funk!!! My main influences would be Victor Wooten, Mark King, Anthony King and Marcus Miller.

I live in the city centre so practice wouldn't be an issue for me.
Defo would be up for a jam.
