Was there 2 years ago, we simply drove up there from new york and went to the place on spec, stayed in lovely hotel with a great seaview.
The one thing that turned me and the missus of it was how "camp" the place has become! but sure thats for another discussion.
I doubt you would need to book anywhere, particulart in provincetown, where there is loads of places to stay! just go on spec and find somewhere you like!
