It wasn't snow, it was rain, just weird rain that was getting blown about in the wind. I was blowing in my window and hitting me. I'd know if it was snow, it would have been colder.

Blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and-is that the sun? It looks like the sun is out here in Cork! Hurrah!

Thank God for not living in Dublin at the mo...either its snowing there, or there is mass hallucinations taking place-both of which are disturbing

Heard the thunder alright. Was walking back to my desk and everyone started staring out the window.

Its Thunder, it makes a sound, you can't see thunder so why do people always look?

Because there could be lightning which is always cool to see.

Yeah, but by the time you hear the thunder, the flash of lightning has already happened.

Thats why people look out the window in the hope of seeing it

The office was mental when the thunder was doing its thang, so we barely noticed, although when the boss realised that it was thunder rather than a printer being knocked off a desk she freaked out a bit. Strange!

thunder and lightning very very frightning

In OP's defence, as I stood at the bus stop at Lower Baggot Street, after it stopped 'raining' I looked at the ground and couldnt believe that it looked like sleet, definitely not like rain had just fell. In OP's defence, thunder and lightening occurs with freezing in the sky, etc so there might have been a severely cold patch up there that caused a little mix of rain and snow shower.
