Ridge Racer 7 Online Problem?

Just got a PS3 a few days ago and im happy :D One thing thats bothering me is the online play in RR7. Nearly everytime I try to enter a room it says ' Failed to enter room'. Is this common? any way to fix it? Also, i noticed that theres meant to be motion controllers in Resistance but cant figure out what they are?? Thanks…

From what I remember you need to enable the motion sensor from within the game, its not enabled by default. Then its shake shake shake when something has a grip on you.
