My old band went to galway a couple of months ago to record their ep. The sound engineer there showed them a music video by a tipp farmer that he was paid to produce.

This has to be seen from start to finish to be believed

There's only one backward hick there

The 'band' in that video were just local musicians who were hired for the day.
Basically, the farmer dude (Ned) recorded the outline of the song on his phone and went along to the studio and said 'make a record and video out of this'. The sound engineer laid down a guitar and drum track and tried to get ned to sing along. Ned of course didn't have much musical experience or ability so the concept of singing in time was completely alien to him. They tried a click track: no luck. The best they could do was to have someone count a beat by hitting his leg as he sang. Believe it or not that was the best take.

So long as they had fun making it and so long as Ned doesn't take himself too seriously there's no harm
