Archos video playback problem

Hey, so i own an Archos 404, it's the job... Went to put some video files on it yesterday, they wouldn't play because i don't have a plugin (the cinema one to be precise)

Now what i was wondering is is there a way around this? Nothing illegal or anything, but is there a way to convert the video file to a different format or something? The file is a .avi video clip, it won't play on the archos because the sound is encoded using AC3 format...

Is there a (free) product out there that'll let me convert it from one type to another?

There's a program I use, can't remember the name of it (could be 'Simple' or something) but it's by 'eRight Soft'. Just google that and it should pop up for you. Should work, it converts a lot of things to a lot of things.

It's called Super... I'll have to try it out, i've heard lots of good things about it... Is it easy to use?

Super is the mutt's nuts ;)

Very easy to use, just select the output type you want
    and drag and drop.

Great quality results and best of all it's free.

Ah yes, 'Super', thats the one. As said above, it couldn't be easier to use and it converts to almost any format and from almost any format.
