bot beaten and then not so beaten

So i was checking the result of the phil laak and ali whatshisname vs the bot and the result was that the humans won, but the humans are saying that they did not win because there was a glitch in the bot during session three, so while checking it out, i decided to do a bit of research into these so called poker bots.

there are many bots being advertised online, a lot of them free for sites such as cd and titan among others, then there is this unbelievable package advertised on ebay, which would be worth it without the bot. it couldnt be right i thought, so i visited the site of this new bot on the market and the guy advertising it here is telling people that the ebay offer is not a true offer and that if you buy it through them it will freeze or even destroy your computer. so this guy is promising the sun, moon and stars to you,or to be exact between 750 and 1500 bucks per day, his name is david grazen, and he even has a money back guarantee on the main page with his signature on it, but then you read the disclaimer which tells you that the information you have just read may not be accurate, and that there is no such guy as david grazen and he uses this name to protect his family and so on. then you have another site which reviews these bots. it is telling you that they are great, and that this particular one which has a yearly subscription of 299 bucks is kickass and you have to have it for all these reasons.

now i dont know what the story is, but sometimes you see guys playing 12 tables, and i just wonder how they can do it. maybe they have bots doing the work for them.
the poker sites are telling us that they have improved their security and that it cannot be done on their site, party poker admitted to having caught people using bots. the latest article i could find on this subject other than the phil laak story was this article from november 2005, but if they were so advanced at that stage, what are they like now?
i discussed this with a software expert friend of mine, and he told me that it can be done, he believes that if you got a group of top poker players together and recorded their hand histories over a period of 3 months and fed it into the bots memory, along with a lot of other programming which would have to be added including a memory like that of poker tracker, he believes that this should work very well. the security issues he believes only arise if the bot starts to act 'inhuman', as in going on for 24 hours or more, and not taking any breaks during the day. he also concurred with the security issue of having this software on the computer you use for playing, he believes that a second computer would be the answer as is stated by the guy in the article we read so here is the link

so my questions for all of you

is this feasible, should i invest and never work again?
if they exist, is there a way to detect them if you play against them?
is poker tracker the way to go to beat these things?
