Is it possible to built up a massive database of the players you will be coming up against on the relevant poker site?. I play 1/2 on paddy power and have bought poker tracker -is it possible to get stats from games that i am not playing in etc.....?

It is indeed possible to download hands as such from other tables that your not playing in, very handy thing if you intend to play with a certain bunch of players at a later date and you've got a previous history of how they play.

You must use an add-on program with PokerTracker (which is known as a data mining program) and for iPoker your best bet is http://www.gold-mine-poker.com for data mining other tables.

I'm sure other boys here will give you more insight on it, but there's my tuppence worth.

I don't play on tribeca but on UB you can leave it (UltimateHistory) open on tables you are just spectating. But the max tables they let you have open is 9. :-|

    .

To add to this, I would recommend setting up a free account on the Carlos Poker skin (uses same network as PPP) and using it alongside the aforementioned Gold Mine software. Carlos Poker doesn't presently have a limit on the amount of tables that can be opened at once so I often have it mining 30 tables at once with about 100 hands being imported every 4-5 minutes in Poker Tracker. Even though I play $20NL, the software has paid for itself over and over again thanks to the additional information I gain.

I'm not sure mate I don't play there, a guy on boards phantom_lord does play on that same network though so maybe he can help you out :-)

There are for other networks such as PartyPoker, but afaik, Gold-Mine is the only software available for the iPoker network and if I remember correctly it's being developed by a boards.ie member. Also even though I play low stakes poker (.10/.20), I have found it to have paid for itself numerous times!

That's a good trick actually, is the amount of tables open just limited by your cpu/memory?

technically yes, but I have an aging AMD Athlon 2000+ in my system and can still datamine every single populated table at my level so modern CPUs shouldn't have a problem. Bear in mind that when you are datamining, you can't really use your PC for anything else as the software works by replicating human movement (i.e moving mouse to table windows and copy and pasting text from dealer window).

noiq is another site that allows you to open an unlimited number of tables.

a datamining feature may be added to eyepoker, which is basically spadeEye for ipoker.

I don't suppose there's a package clever enough to datamine STTs?

Thats fluffing brilliant, how long is this out, one thing i hated on ipoker lately was trying to find juicy tables.
