bought one off play.com, but instead they send me a ps3 s-video cable...
sent it back only to find out they never had any wavebirds in the first place :(

could some recommend a good place to buy one?
    not sure i trust ebay

I was about to mention ebay... as long as you got a trusted seller your grand
in all fairness mate you got nothing to worry about like you could get a well cheap controller and ive been using ebay for years and never had a problem

probably will be ebay in the end.
im not concerned about fraud, more the shere laziness of sellers.

ive waited 3 weeks for items to be posted / arrive before

to be honest if it works for the gamecube it will work for the wii (for the gamecube games etc)

i heard there were issues with non-nintendo controllers.
    is this just rumors?
particuraly as that komplett offer has the following "feature"
One wireless receiver will allow the connection of two Wireless Controllers.

i have 3 non nintendo controllers that work fine on the wii, even the gba cable works on it. if the controllers didnt work on the wii they wudnt really advertise them for use with it, or it would have been flagged by now that they dont work (id imagine) :) prob ebay would be the best option though. theyre about €40 but u might get lucky and get a bargain.

Wireless = good. I was playing Donkey Konga and yanked the bongo toward me, knocked my Wii off the table and snapped the two little flaps at the top off. Later on playing Sonic did the same thing. I managed to get a Wavebird for a fiver a while back though so can't complain! I manage such bargains on my GC stuff. Luckiest person ever. Definitely worth it if you can find one even if it costs you a little more.

My non-Nintendo controller worked fine for GC games, but didn't work at all for VC games. Just something to watch out for.
