hey lads can ye recommend me a docking soundstation for my m-vision, the only one that i can locate is the playdock z500 and it seems pretty expensive compared to the i-pod ones, is there any other model on the market that you'd reccomend at all?

    thanks in advance...

As far as I know that's the only one, I'm in the same situation. Vision M is fantastic but the lack of accessories is a bummer.

As the above poster has said, the Creative one is pretty much the only dock and speaker setup for the Vision M. Companies aren't so keen on making accessories for the Creative players as they aren't really popular enough to warrant it.

Why get docking speakers at all. Just get a good 2.1 system and your player can sit on it.

A dock charges the player as well as providing sound.

Just plug it into the mains. It isn't that big a deal.

I went with the charger into the mains and audio connection to my speakers setup for a while then I got a dock.
    Best money ever spent.
The hassle and wires everywhere of the 'cheaper' approach weren't worth it IMHO.
I was always forgetting to charge it :)
This way the players always charged!
And the sound is way better :)

Yeah I know, but for some people it is a big deal. Docking stations are HUGE business for companies. Just look at the range of docking stations for the ipod, Logic 3, Altec Lansing, Bose, Apple, Kef, iTube, Creative and many many more companies.

Selling Creative MP3 players there is little margin made on the players themselves it's gotten back on the accessories, and why do they have so many accessories? Because people want them.

I agree with what you said, but alot of people want a neat solution with a minimal of wires for places like the kitchen, bedroom etc.

Oh I know that. I'm just one for letting my player run down and charging when it needs it. I don't like leaving it permanently charging unless the Dock has an auto cut off when it is charged and then starts charging again when the battery reaches a certain point of discharge.
