I've seen the DVD Recorder in Dunnes this morning but looks very flimsy for €99

Anyone know when any of the Lidl or Aldi all rounders are back on sale ?

Gotta say I'm very impressed with the €99 Dunnes recorder, good design and seems to play anything i throw at it

Whats the USB Like, if for example I added a 250 GB External HDD to it ?

I added my iomega 300GB to it and it played it all. Since then I've gotten a 500 GB seagate and it has trouble reading it but I must test it again tonight. Possibly as another poster said in an earlier thread, the file system might make a difference on the different harddrives. Trying to look up which types they have at the moment. Good player.

Cheers for that would you have the model of the DVD Recorder as I did'nt have a pen to take it down the last time I was in Dunnes.

I'll post it when I get home this evening for you, think there was another thread with it though and when I searched before on google, there was very little info on it.

They sell it as a Plustron BDR1300.

It works great with my 320GB Seagate Portable HDD.
