Chorus Digital Swords and HTPC

My current solution of taking a feed out of the STB's Scart socket into my Analogue PVR-150 TV Card on my HTPC is inelegant and a pretty ****e option.

I have a viewing card in my STB, I am happy paying for my service and do not wish to steal, however...........I would be much happier if I could use my viewing card with a digital tuner in my HTPC.

has anyone succeeded in doing this on Chorus Digital, and can they provide me with some advice on how to go about doing it.

    Tnx,

    Inqui

Simple answer : you can't (legally).
Chorus Digital's network's encrypted. Unless they start selling/renting CAMs for customers to use their own equipment with their smart cards, it's simply not doable.

I know I can't do it "legally", but then backing up CD's and DVD's you have purchased is also "illegal" but no company will prosecute for it. I consider this to be much the same as using my own kit to decode channels I have paid for anyways.

I pay for every channel anyways, so no theft would be taking place, simply breaking of the T&C's (again much the same as backing up a DVD).

Not the same thing as DVDs at all, under EU law.
