wii won't connect to the net

I get an error 109139 when I try to connect to the wii... I don't know what to do. I don't have to re-format do i, as I've saved games on it? I have gotten online to download updates for the wii but can't do anything else. I've gone into the setting to turn connect24 on but I get the error saying its not offered.

Get an SD card to copy your saves, I'd say formatting will help:

Cheers Koneko, that worked; I eventually got round to formatting the thing. It works now. I can see the news and weather. Now I need to find ppl to play games against...
