Just changed over to Vodafone Bill Pay. I'm just wondering what access points I should choose for different things? Whats the difference between:

    1. Vodafone ISP (i'm guessing is the internet usage point - is this really expensive?? per kilobyte or can i buy bundles??)

    2. Vodafone live !

    3. Vodafone live ! Stea..

    4. Vodafone MMS (guessing these settings are used to send and receive MMSs)

    any help wud be great!

ISP - for general internet usage (email, browsing etc). costs are high 2c/KB up to 512 KBs and 0.5c/KB for any usage over 512KBs but you can get 25mb for 15 euros (great eh! not)

live - for voda live services. Charged differently but go to www.vodafone.ie for prices

stream - for tv served from the live pages

mms - multimedia messages only (picture messages)

    ....e great!

minimum charge of 10 kb on bilpay (20c) unless you're on a bundle so be careful straying away from Vodafone live! free to view pages

any non Vodafone access points there?

if you followed my instructions, you should be able to press 0 and connect straight to Vodafone Live! , ie no need to type in http://live.vodafone.com

    Settings are:
    Hiomepage: http://live.vodafone.com
    Proxy Enabled: Yes
    Proxy address: 010.024.059.100
    Port: 80
    APN: live.vodafone.com
    user: dublin
    password: dublin

    Should do the trick.
Make sure you set this to the default web

surely it has to be easier than this for non-techy normal folk?

    1) Connection name:Vodafone Live!
    2) Data Bearer: packet data
    3) Access Point Name: live.vodafone.com
    4) User Name: dublin
    5) Prompt password: no
    6) Password:dublin
    7) Authentication: normal
    8) homepage: http://live.vodafone.com

then if you press options, there should be an option "advanced settings" which will let you enter the rest

    Network type: IPv4
    Phone IP address: automatic
    Name Servers: automatic
    Proxy server address: 010.024.059.100
    Proxy port number: 80
