My 20D had started to act up a bit the last time I was using it, going on and off, freezing, In a moment of boredom I had stacked a 2x and 1.5 x on my 70-200, just to see what would happen, how a snap would look. I assumed it was a dirty contact on the converter because i hadn't used them in a while. Today I recieved a kenko converter which I had bought for my 70-300is (my other converters dont fit it)I tried it on the 20D and the camera again started to go on and off, eventually going off completly. I though maybe it was a dodgy kenko so tried it on my D60 and it worked fine. I changed the batteries in the 20 but nothing has changed, camera is dead.Any idea's, when I had moved the camera down, pointing at my feet, it would come on, then when I moved it up to horizontal it would go off again.Could it be a faulty mount perhaps.I'll have to chase up the manual but if I remember correctly does it have a reset button somewhere (i dont have the cam to hand at the minute to look) any other suggestions. I'll be sick if I have to leave this in somewhere, especially that place in portobellow, they take forever and charge whatever. I'll be doubly sick if I miss that train that was mentioned in another thread on sunday.
