That was the one I was initially going to go for until I saw they had brought out the N200. Should be a really nice laptop going on my one. Don't think you will regret it. Vista is a bit of a hog at first. Try and upgrade teh RAM to 2GB and you will be fine. A lot of the Lenovo bundled software you can get rid of too to help things along. The Thinkvantage Rescue and Recovery should be the first to go. Eats up the RAM and processor.

    Think its a good buy?

    Yes, it looks good.

Though I would be interested in seeing how good "pure" Levono laptops are vs. the IBM/Levono models that are still around. I wonder if Levono are keeping up the IBM build quality.

yh thats what i was wondering my brother has an old ibm thinkpad and you could prob throw it out the window and it would survive. IBMs last a good while.

Build quality seems great on the Lenoovo. I m using one (N200) and it seems more solid than most other laptops I have encountered. The chassis is rock solid, no flexing. I wouldn't try throwing it out of a window though, because, well, it's too damn expensive to be doing that with.

yh i know :D well the thinkpads have a rollcage or something so they are pretty sturdy. My bothers one has been through everything has cracks and everything still works perfectly.
