VPN through wireless router (NTL)

I'm able to connect to my work's VPN(using sonicwall) when I hook my laptop up directly to my Motorolla Surfboard cable modem (supplied by NTL).

However, when I try to connect via my Netgear wireless router (wired or wirelessly) I can't. My internet connection is fine - just can't get on to VPN.

Does anyone know of some router setting that might be stopping this?

    Many thanks

I had a similar problem with a Zoom router, turning ON the firewall fixed the problem
Reported it to tech support, they could not explain that one.
My firewall is IKE aware, perhaps yours is too.

If that's not it, use Wireshark to capture packets & compare good (direct modem) Vs bad (Netgear) sessions.
