Doubt that. I mean everyone has a watch out by a min or so, so what's the official source of time that says it was 7:44?

You must have backed a loser in the race?!:D

Bets will stand if a race goes off early. There's no disadvantage to either the punter or the bookie if a race goes off a minute early unless you were gonna have a healthy bet on the winner and missed the off.

Races can go off early in Ireland and France, but not in Britain. Early races in Britain become void. There was a race at Naas or Navan a couple of months back that went off 4 minutes early. Even ATR were caught out and only got the last furlong.

There used to be a rule on-course, stating if the first race goes off before the advertised off-time, then the race would be void. It happened at Galway a few years ago. Needless to say DK Weld's horse won the race, so no chance the stewards were turning that over.

haha. i had a wee bet on it alright. but i heard the lads on sportslife radio on about this before and they were sayin that the race is void. must be just in england. you can get the off times on http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/liveshows/ on the day of race or else the results pages on racingpost always have the off times.
    cheers for the replies.
