I'm looking for advice about electric golf buggies / caddy cars.

A guy has mentioned a make called Euro Pro Golf at a cost of €285.

Has anyone ever heard of them?

Has anyone any advice on what makes are best?

    Thanks
    Drollab

if you mean electric trollies then I got one in McGuirks for €300 and it is great so far, it has exact same frame as the Powacaddy (different motor/ battery). Also comes with 1 year warranty.

The old man got one in Dunnes recently for about €130 and he's having trouble already! Can't remember the make!

I work for a company who supply dunnes stores (not with golf equipment) and I was chatting to a manager about these and he said that nearly every trolley sold in his store was returned faulty

Brother in law bought a Mokad in Woodies. Returned 3 times I think, no questions asked. Current one seems to be going fine.

I have a Pwakaddy for about 5 years now. Something wrong with it now. I didn't switch it off completely while I was on the green one day & it sneaked off. Took me 10 mins to find it in the ditch. I think clutch or something is gone.

Best thing to do is go to youre local pro shop and ask the pros advice.I got a lawia one about 5 years ago and it is still flying.I got a new battery 2 years ago and can still get 2 rounds out of it.Powacaddy,Golf glider,Hill Billy and Euro pro seem to be the moast popular makes.

I've had a Powakaddy now for 4 years. Still on the same battery and working ok. I've had to have it repaired 3 times over the years and it's a pain cause theres only one guy in Dublin that repairs them and hes in Portmarnock. Overall I wouldnt recommend the powakaddy, cost around €500 and min of €60 to get repaired when they start acting funny.

i have hilly billy and powacaddy they are both made by the same people so they have de same batteries and the hilly billy goes faster and longer but the powacaddy has kept going now for 5 years not once repaired

PowaKaddy have three repair agents in the Dublin area these days, The trollies start from around €4oo and are, with Golf Glider and Hill Billy the most reliable machines around orthers may seem cheap at the time but very rarely last the distance.

I live in Kilcock Co Kildare and want to get my Powakaddy repaired.
Has anyone the name(s) of repairers - please?
    It is out of guarantee.

    Thanks.

There's a guy in Kill Co. Kildare who repairs them. I brought mine over last year to get the clutch done and he did it while I waited.

He repairs all makes of trolleys and for the benefit of the OP he said that Powakaddyies were by far the most reliable. He also said to steer clear of Mocads and the likes, they're only rubbish

    Thanks Brian076 for that info.
Someone told me yesterday about someone in Kill and his first name is Gerry - I think?
Have you a phone number for him?
    Thanks.

Got my Powakaddy repaired on the spot from Gerry Egan in Kill, Co Kildare.

A real nice guy - he is a teaching pro at Naas driving range - with superb customer service.
    I recommend him without reservation.

Thanks again for your help on this forum guys.
