    PETROV FANCIES SPURS SWITCH
    Posted 22/07/07

"Atletico Madrid midfielder Martin Petrov has issued what appears to be a come-and-get-me plea to Tottenham. Spurs boss Martin Jol has been a long-time admirer of the 28-year-old Bulgarian, and failed with a £7.5million for him a year ago. But he remains interested although it is thought he faces competition from new Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson. Petrov appears to be keener on a move to White Hart Lane, though, with the News of the World quoting him as saying: "Spurs are a big club and this season play in the UEFA Cup - that is always an interest to any player."

...Don't know anything about this lad but does anyone else think it wouldnt be any harm for Berbatov to have a fellow countryman in the side?
