Right i'm in the market for a new mp3 player and this is what i have been looking at so far. Took a lot through the stickies and went googling but figured i'd ask as well.

    http://ie.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=214&product=16696

    My requirements are as follows.

    -Fm Radio
    -Ability to take punishment.
    -Capicty Over 1GB

    Price range 100 - 200 euro.

    Not pushed about..

    -File formats
    -Capcacity(Much)
    -Brand
    -Screen size
    -Sound quality (Much)

Basically im using my sony walkman phone as a player. The interface on the new model is annoying and if i am cycling or doing anything moving the large earphone jack is a nightmare and keeps falling out. Also i figure i'd be better spending the money for a larger chip on a new mp3 player.

I need something durable with a decent batter life and suitable for cycling/exercise

Thoughts? Suggestions? Any ones i shoud avoid?

I've read a few reviews of the stone and it seems ok but the battery life thing may annoy me....

Look at this player from Sandisk. Read the user reviews too.

    http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDMX4-8192-Sansa-Player-Black/dp/B000HZ9CCA

Its well worth a look and they have a variety of sizes for the drive in it that will bring down the price from the 8GB one I'm linking to here. You can also expand the memory in it later with SD cards (I think SD cards anyway).

I was going to get this player but I decided to get an Archo's instead for my commute.

i have a 1GB zen nano (with fm radio) which I use while on the bike, gym etc.
It's up to the usual everyday knocks. Have dropped it a few times etc.
Its currently about €60 on pixmania or 80 in argos.

the stone is a new one. 2GB would be nice. Not sure why they didn't just bring out a 2GB zen nano. Have had a couple of them and no problems.
