    All,
Can someone please recommend a good independant ASA sky installer in Cork. I want to upgrade to Sky + and use my existing box as FTA. Had a bad experience with the official sky installers when they set me up a few years ago.
Also has anybody managed to get Sky + installed without a phone line.http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055112419&referrerid=&highlight=
This thread refers to the fact that it is now possible for a € 40 fee.

    Thanks,
    Tweaky:)

I got an aerial from David Bruen Satellite Services and found him to be friendly and helpful - he preferred to sell me an aerial rather than a full installation.

He's based on the Rochestown Road.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I came across another company - Muskerry satellite services - anybody had any dealings with them. They run the sky kiosks in mahon point and midleton shopping centres.
Also has anybody actually upgraded to Sky + without a phone line yet ?

    Thanks again !!

Got a quote off this guy and defo wasnt happy with him. His quote was 30% more expensive with inferior equipment than numerous competitors. He was also moaning about having to install a satellite dish on the chimney. And to top it off he starts goin on about how he will do the job properly compared to others. Really??? Well what other way would he be expected to do it. "Clown". Got it done elsewehere and im very happy with the standard of work.

    you don't need a phoneline for sky+

it is only required for Multiroom.
