Stephen King and Frank Darabont return for 'The Mist'

Frank Darabont's [who previously directed King adaptations of the Green Mile and the Shawshank Redemption] has now entered into post-production on the new movie 'The Mist', again based on King's work, and will be due for release sometime in November in the US.

If your fimiliar with the works of King, you might have read this chilling short story at the start of 'Skeleton Crew'. I read this too a few years back and it scared the ****e out of me. The film stars Thomas Jane [he of Stander, Punisher fame] as David Drayton, a man trapped alongside a group of terrified and confused people inside a grocery store as the world outside gradually flips into a nightmare beyond all comprehension.

Seriously, keep an eye on this film. Yes, it does have the potential, like so many other King adaptations, to be a pile of ****e, but I think it's going to be one of the films of the year.

Nice. The Mist was always one of my favourite stories. Though I'd be worried they'd focus a lot more on creatures then the book ever featured/described, which would spoil it for me.

The mist scared the crap out of me the first time I read it. Lots of stuff based on it since such as Half Life and Silent Hill. This film has potential.

Could be great. The previous Darabont/King collaborations were great.
