Was channel flicking this eve and found re-runs of Home Improvement (with Tim Allen) on ABC1. One great show in the late 80's/ 90's. Anyone here have memories of it? Used to love the way Ti used to misquote Wilson's advice (the neighbour behind the fence whose face was always covered!)

not much of a Tim Allen fan.

They had this lady on their show, to their credit.

Never thought Tim was funny, ever. It is still on telly plenty though.

Holy crap, talk about coincidence. Guess who I saw on the telly earlier down on the grid before the start of the U.S. MotoGP race? Yep, "The Toolman" himself!

Yeah, I used to loooove 'Home Improvement'. Turbo-charged, V8-engined lawnmowers crashing through fences. :D Tim's poor, long-suffering wife Jill (am I the only one who had a bit of a thing for her? ;) Don't know what it was, there was just something a bit 'MILF-ish' about her, even before the term MILF was ever invented! :D). All the strange ways that Wilson would end up having his face hidden from view and the advice he'd give which Tim would then completely take up the wrong way. Al's flannel shirts and the stick he used to get about his fat mother from Tim. Their various "Salutes..... to <insert toolname here>!" :D How every new tool on the show always seemed to have the same name and model number..... the Binford 6100!

And then, of course, who could ever possibly forget the 'Tool Time Girls', the aforementioned Heidi and, starting it all off, Pammy Anderson as Lisa. Ah, good times!

Yep, I loved that show. Good, clean, wholesome entertainment..... with some dungaree-clad boobs thrown in for good measure! :D

All together now....... GRUNT GRUNT GRUNT!!!!!! :D

Among the old series I have to remember to pick up DVDs of (could watch on-line yes, but it's good enough to want to own IMO). Wonder did the actor who played Mr. Wilson ever get recognised, since no-one ever saw his lower face...:D
