    From http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/mhcwauaugbid/rss2/
Fine Gael is calling for the immediate introduction of laws to govern puppy farming.

The party is urging Minister for the Environment John Gormley, to draw up legislation to protect animal welfare.

It comes following a recent raid on a puppy farm in Wicklow, during which 82 mistreated dogs were discovered.

Over a quarter of them had to be put down.

Wicklow TD Andrew Doyle says immediate action is needed.

bout time they caught on to it - really need this legistlation. too many dogs being over bred and mistreated - then dumped, drowned or inhumanely killed when their breeding days are over.
