Encoding incorrectly guessed in Firefox

Does anyone know what Firefox uses to guess the encoding of a page?
For example, any time I open www.football365.com all the £ signs are garbled because the character coding is set to Chinese. I couldn't find anything in the page source to suggest why that might be. Is it the same for everyone or is there some setting on my system causing it to incorrectly guess the codepage?

That site works OK for me

Have you tried View >> Character Encoding ?

Yep, and each time it defaults to Chinese no matter how many times I set it back. You don't notice at first, as the majority of text is readable, only the pound-signs are screwed. Assuming you're using Firefox, I have to deduce something wrong on my side. Cheers.

Works fine for me too. Try uninstalling and reinstalling FF. Get a more recent version if possible.
