    Another ID this one thread :)

    Can anyone tell me what this spider is?
    My wife and I saw it on our honeymoon....took her ages to calm down.
    It was about the size of my hand (say about 8in)...BIG & SCARY.
    Oh and it was in Zanzibar (Tanzania)

    I knew I should not have checked the nature forum first thing monday morning... Zanzibar is another place to cross off my "must see" list.

    This might help - I did not dig too deeply into the spider section as I do not want to get a severe attack of the willies this early in the morning. So cannot say how good it is.
