Yes indeed, if Jesus was around today he would surely invest in a vehicle to help him travel and spread the word, what do you think he would go for, a car, an SUV, a motorbike ? perhaps a helicoptor, I think he would go for a helicoptor, that way he could travel far afield and not need to worry about a landing strip.

I think ascending to heaven counts as flying

Well done MooseJam, after you last startling post, What Does God Wear?, you have pulled yet another equally pertinent and necessary question out of the bag.

    High Five, kid!

Well, someone asked the question on boards, but did you know there was a whole site devoted to seeking the answer? Neither did I ...

what do you mean "if Jesus was around today"? I thought the whole point of religion is that he is omniprescent?

Hardly devoted to seeking the answer, more a humorous play on the old slogan of "What Would Jesus Do?" in order to encourage environmentally friendlier modes of transport among gas-guzzling Americans.

However, to answer Moosejam's next question, you can read 'What Would Jesus Eat?' What-would-Jesus-eat.jpg

Don Colbert, an American doctor, has discovered how to make millions by putting a spiritual spin on selling books to fat Americans telling them obvious stuff like to eat more fruit and veg and exercise more. There's one born every minute. ;)

Hmm. I think that's overly generous. The US birthrate works out at 7.6 live births per minute, so even if we assume that "one born every minute" applies to the US rather than being shared worldwide, that only gives you 13% suckers in the US population, which I feel is slightly too low...

If he did in fact walk on water, then he could have hooked himself up to an outboard motor instead of stepping aboard a sea-going vessel...

He is in Heaven at the moment, not down here among us, though there is expectation of a second coming in the future and then mode of transport could be an important issue
