Would this be any good in Ireland?

TomTom One GB XL (newest model with 4.3" screen) is just £180.49 @ Tecno

Supersize TomTom with 4.3" Touch screen. Use code TECNO5 to get this price. Lowest price and possibly the only deal for less than £199 delivered.

It has Teleatlas maps so don't touch it with a barge pole. Unfortunately TomTom have dropped Navteq Maps.

I would recommend looking at a Garmin or the Aldi offer this week which both have Navteq maps with 100% Irish coverage.

If you like it buy it , you can roll back the maps to navteq if you dont like the new teleatlas .

GPS Warehouse are doing the TomTom One V2 Europe for £190. This has Navteq maps which are v good in Ireland. Also tried it last month in France: very happy.

It also comes with a free carry case at the moment: very handy when taking out of the car.
I ordered as second one from them about three weeks ago for someone else. They didn't have them in stock so had to wait for about a week until they got them in.

The only problem is that you won't be able to get any Navteq map updates from TomTom in the future. TomTom have just taken over Teleatlas so it is clear where their allegiances lie.

Yes , but this is good for TT users as it means that teleatlas maps will now improve to match the product . The problem was that TE was not keeping up with TT.
