    Hi all,

Having difficulty both on this site and on the internet finding out the differences between panasonic plasma models (as all details are in german).

Want to buy a panasonic plasma but dont want to pick the wrong one and technikdirekt certainly seems to be the cheapest.

My apologies as Im sure this has been asked before but I'm damned if i can find it.

The models are: TH-42 PH 10 EK
    TH-42 PV 7 F
    TH-42 PV71F

    All help greatly appreciated.

The PH10 I think is a commercial screen - so no speakers included. If you have your own amp & speakers, may be an option, else skip it.

The new Panasonic plasmas are PZ700, PV700, PV70, PV7, best first. The differences being some with full HD, speaker differences, connection differences, anti-glare screen coating...

The PV71F if the bigger brother of the PV7F. These are pretty much identical to the PV70 and PV7 models launched here in Ireland (similar also to PX70 and PX7 models in UK, but different UHF/VHF tuners). Only difference between PV71 (which I have also bought from Tech Direkt a few montsh back) and PV70 is that PV71 allows swicthing betwen 50 & 100Hz, this aids flickering of screen. PV71 also has a better teletext (fairly minor I know). That's the only 2 differences I found comparing the manuals for PV71 and PV70.

Go onto www.panasonic.co.uk and enter their plasma product range. There is a 'compare' function allowing you to see the PX specs side by side (all expect the PH10)

don't forget that Tech Diekt will price match other german websites if you see a better price. I'd deffo recommend TechDirekt for buying though, others also have bought there. Their delievery is fast, cheap, well packaged (TV box on a pallet).

    Enjoy!!
