where does the waste go from the toilet, when your upstairs in a dormer house?

i have the walls going in at the moment, but just realised that the pipe obviously can't come out through the slates,
so must it be piped downstairs and into a pipe in the foundations for it?

    will ring plumber later

we put all the waste pipes into the void at th end of the roof, just behind the straight piece of wall that then slants up to the ceiling. these were only put in before plastering. However they do all tie into the waste which were put into the slab.
