I bought a satellite receiver from a UK site ( never again am I ever buying from a UK site! a German with 2 words of english would be better at communicating than most UK sites). Anyways the receiver was faulty, so I sent it back to them. They got it about a week and An Post tracking proves this but I havent heard anything from the Uk site saying they received it, and I havent received a replacement (when I ordered it, I had it 2 days later). I paid through paypal about a month ago, so just wondering if they continue to ignore me and dont send a replacement, can I get my credit card company to get the money back for me or am I fecked?

Try contacting Paypal. If this fails contact your credit card company. I had a similar issue and bank refunded the money.

First step is go back on to Paypal and start a dispute relating to that transaction. Escalate it to a claim immediately if you like since they're completely ignoring you. You only have 45 days from the day you paid to start this though, so when you say "about a month ago" make sure it's not a month and a half.

If you have gone over the 45 days then contact your card provider, they should be able to do a chargeback.

What website was it? I've never had a problem dealing with UK sites.

You can start a Not as Described buyer complaint with PayPal over the transaction but unless the item was purchased on eBay then once you escalate the dispute to a claim it will be closed as only eBay purchases are covered in the Not as Described claims process.

I'd recommend opening a dispute and seeing if they respond/help resolve the issue through the dispute. Then escalate it to a claim, the case will be closed but the seller might choose to help you at that stage. If not, then possibly contact your card company.

Have you tried ringing the company itself? That would by my first step, if that gets you nowhere threaten the PayPal claim then go ahead and file the claim and phone them again, keep pushing them.

well eventually I got in contact with someone from the site (through a forum linked to the site) and this person sent out another receiver............................another faulty receiver which was opened and as far as I can see is the same receiver, I told them it was a hardware problem. I rang up today and got some cocky **** who said to send it back the manufacturer and maybe this receiver isnt for me. I told him to organise a courier to collect the receiver and he said "its a long drive, you hardly expect us to collect it", and then said write a letter about what happened and send it to the boss along with the receiver and he might give a refund. Expecting me to pay another 40 euro to send back another faulty item! It only cost 150 euros and I spent 40 euros sending it back already. Paypal are a joke based on past experiences with bad sellers on ebay, so doubt they'd do anything.
